Chatziantoniou Papachristoulis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Takis Saraliotis in the 40th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, Nikos Riganopoulos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Chatziantoniou Papachristoulis. Bandiera Rossa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nikos Riganopoulos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Bandiera Rossa's Chatziantoniou Papachristoulis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Takis Saraliotis in the 48th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Takis Saraliotis made a kick off. Konstantinos Koulos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kostas Gountelitsas having to interfere. The corner led to ΜΑΙΑΝΔΡΟΣ's Nikos Riganopoulos getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Fotis Paspalakis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kostas Gountelitsas didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 63rd minute, which inside left pole to 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikos Riganopoulos in the 67th minute of play forced Bandiera Rossa's goalkeeper Chatziantoniou Papachristoulis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in ΜΑΙΑΝΔΡΟΣ's zone, Aggelos Tripitsidis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kostas Gountelitsas came out of the goal and Aggelos Tripitsidis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 70 minutes into the game, Bandiera Rossa's Fotis Paspalakis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kostas Gountelitsas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Chatziantoniou Papachristoulis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Takis Saraliotis in the 76th minute of play. Demis Ferekidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Kostas Gountelitsas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fotis Paspalakis succeeded in the game's 82nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-4. Fotis Paspalakis scored 2-6 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kostas Gountelitsas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
