Miltos Kalabokis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Errikos Mavrofidis in the 19th minute. 20 minutes into the match, PYRGOS FC's goalkeeper Miltos Kalabokis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Errikos Mavrofidis. 22 minutes into the match, PANATHINAIKOS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fanis Akrivopoulos came free, but Sokratis Batatoudis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Fanis Akrivopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot. PYRGOS FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fanis Akrivopoulos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sokratis Batatoudis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Theofilos Karagiannos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Sokratis Batatoudis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Apostolos Kazantziou was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 30th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 31 minutes into the match, PYRGOS FC's Fanis Akrivopoulos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sokratis Batatoudis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Fanis Akrivopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Theagenis Terzis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanos Lazanas hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After 55 played minutes PANATHINAIKOS FC got a freekick which was hit by Alexandros Dentsas. Sokratis Batatoudis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fanis Akrivopoulos in the 56th minute. In the 61stth minute of the game Theagenis Terzis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PYRGOS FC's Miltos Kalabokis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Errikos Mavrofidis came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the PANATHINAIKOS FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Errikos Mavrofidis couldn't finish the play. Miltos Kalabokis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Theagenis Terzis in the 70th minute of play. Fanis Akrivopoulos's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Sokratis Batatoudis firmly grabbed it by the left post. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. PYRGOS FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
