Muralαr BC's Emmanouil Papadamou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fanis Akrivopoulos in the 40th minute of play. In the 42nd minute of the match Periklis Bernidakis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emmanouil Papadamou skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Antonis Stavroulakis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Muralαr BC's supporters rose to their feet, but Antonis Stavroulakis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miltos Kalabokis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Periklis Kazantziou was the one to do the kick off. The PYRGOS FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miltos Kalabokis should have stopped the shot. Antonis Stavroulakis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Miltos Kalabokis having to make a save. 75 minutes into the game, one of Muralαr BC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Emmanouil Papadamou had in the 77thth minute some difficulties stopping Apostolos Kazantziou's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Apostolos Kazantziou had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emmanouil Papadamou. Muralαr BC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Apostolos Kazantziou was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After a rather tough play, PYRGOS FC's Giannis Botsaris got a free kick in the 79th minute. Antonis Stavroulakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miltos Kalabokis having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Periklis Kazantziou made a precise shot to the right of Miltos Kalabokis. PYRGOS FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. When Antonis Stavroulakis came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Muralαr BC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antonis Stavroulakis couldn't finish the play. Muralαr BC's Periklis Kazantziou got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. There was no doubt that Muralαr BC were the better team. Muralαr BC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
