PANATHINAIKOS FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave YPERHRVAS the free kick. Nikolas Skondras kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute of the match YPERHRVAS got a corner. PANATHINAIKOS FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. In the 25th minute Errikos Mavrofidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trifon Kritikos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 27 minutes, Sokratis Batatoudis successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Sokratis Batatoudis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christos Zacharis in the 36th minute of play. Alkinoos Karras didn't get a good kick on the ball. Louis Xenitias was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 76th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.
