After a defensive mix-up in Pιfka FC's zone, Spyros Mitropanos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 47 minutes into the match, Pιfka FC's goal looked a bit too open when Spyros Mitropanos came free, but Minas Stenos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When Kyriakos Egomitis fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pιfka FC's protests and gave Kyriakos Egomitis a yellow card for diving instead. Spyros Mitropanos struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Minas Stenos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Thiva. Valentinos Kondilis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paris Tserkesidis in the 67th minute of play forced Thiva's goalkeeper Nikos Chatzipetrou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Valentinos Kondilis came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Pιfka FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valentinos Kondilis couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Paris Tserkesidis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pιfka FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paris Tserkesidis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nikos Chatzipetrou breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paris Tserkesidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute.
