Alekos Lazaris didn't get a good kick on the ball. Apostolikas Voukefalas charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Apostolikas Voukefalas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to ΞΥΛΟΚΑΣΤΡΟ Α.Ο getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Apostolikas Voukefalas hit a great ball. After having played for 6 minutes, Alexis Paschalakis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stars's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexis Paschalakis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Loukianos Kyrgiakos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Fotis Kaklamanakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Theagenis Charoulis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexis Paschalakis in the 18th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as ΞΥΛΟΚΑΣΤΡΟ Α.Ο's Pantelis Tripolitis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fotis Kaklamanakis. That made the score 1-0 after 22 minutes of play. Loukianos Kyrgiakos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the match, Stars's goalkeeper Fotis Kaklamanakis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Loukas Prasidis. In the 37th minute, Apostolikas Voukefalas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fotis Kaklamanakis was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Loukianos Kyrgiakos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Loukianos Kyrgiakos to make the kick off. ΞΥΛΟΚΑΣΤΡΟ Α.Ο's Theagenis Charoulis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alekos Lazaris in the 54th minute of play. Stars's Thanasis Iordanidis shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 56th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Theagenis Charoulis but with some difficulty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alekos Lazaris in the 57th minute of play forced ΞΥΛΟΚΑΣΤΡΟ Α.Ο's goalkeeper Theagenis Charoulis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 59 minutes into the game, Pantelis Tripolitis threw the ball into play from the sideline. Stars's Alekos Xinos quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Alexis Paschalakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Theagenis Charoulis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Theagenis Charoulis made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Alexis Paschalakis sent off a good shot on target. Loukianos Kyrgiakos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fotis Kaklamanakis having to interfere. Fotis Kaklamanakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Loukianos Kyrgiakos in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 77th minute Alekos Lazaris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theagenis Charoulis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexis Paschalakis hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Loukianos Kyrgiakos struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Fotis Kaklamanakis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ΞΥΛΟΚΑΣΤΡΟ Α.Ο. In the 89th match minute, Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alekos Xinos to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Loukianos Kyrgiakos managed to get in a good position for a shot. ΞΥΛΟΚΑΣΤΡΟ Α.Ο's supporters rose to their feet, but Loukianos Kyrgiakos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fotis Kaklamanakis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. ΞΥΛΟΚΑΣΤΡΟ Α.Ο fully deserved thier win.
