In the 3rd minute, Iason Katsaros reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gerasimos Triantafyllou. The goal made the score 1-0. Nikos Kalogerakos might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stergios Stratikis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nikos Kalogerakos ran back to his position shaking his head. The Chelsea fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when Chelsea's Nikos Kalogerakos looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Mylopotamos FC's Alexandros Kyprianos got a free kick in the 19th minute. Stergios Stratikis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikos Kalogerakos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Dionysis Stathas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alexandros Kyprianos struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Gerasimos Triantafyllou didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mylopotamos FC. In the 28th minute, one of Chelsea:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Chelsea. With his leg Gerasimos Triantafyllou managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when Mylopotamos FC's Stelios Mavroidis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Stelios Mavroidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerasimos Triantafyllou having to interfere. Gerasimos Triantafyllou made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Stelios Mavroidis sent off a good shot on target. Gerasimos Triantafyllou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iason Katsaros, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After 45 minutes, Fanis Chatzidis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chelsea and the Mylopotamos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dionysis Stathas in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stergios Stratikis saved Mylopotamos FC from getting behind.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dionysis Stathas made a kick off. If Stelios Mavroidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th minute, Iason Katsaros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iason Katsaros in the 62nd minute of play forced Chelsea's goalkeeper Gerasimos Triantafyllou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Chelsea getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Valentinos Tokalidis hit a great ball. Gerasimos Triantafyllou stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stelios Mavroidis's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Gerasimos Triantafyllou didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stelios Mavroidis went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Mylopotamos FC defense, Dionysis Stathas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stergios Stratikis. The Mylopotamos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stergios Stratikis should have stopped the shot. 85 minutes into the match, Chelsea's goal looked a bit too open when Stelios Mavroidis came free, but Gerasimos Triantafyllou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Grigoris Tsiaris managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mylopotamos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Grigoris Tsiaris was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gerasimos Triantafyllou breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mylopotamos FC's Iason Katsaros got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 93rd minute Iason Katsaros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerasimos Triantafyllou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mylopotamos FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
