When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Gualter Sena sped through Zagariαko's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nikos Bougatsas. Zagariαko's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gualter Sena was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 71st minute of the match, Gualter Sena tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nikos Bougatsas saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Koropνon's supporters rose to their feet, but Vaios Lianos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nikos Bougatsas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vaios Lianos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Nikos Bougatsas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Koropνon's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
