Spectators: 7639 (Terracing: 5770, Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 100) Mylopotamos FC's Iason Katsaros started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Mylopotamos FC booed when Varies FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giorgos Karatassos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stelios Mavroidis might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eustratios Koufaliotis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stelios Mavroidis ran back to his position shaking his head. If Sofoklis Paraskevopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stamatis Poulakis in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stergios Stratikis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eustratios Koufaliotis was out of position in the 16 minute of play, and Iason Katsaros capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Iason Katsaros really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Mylopotamos FC's Iason Katsaros got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 24 minutes into the match, Varies FC's goal looked a bit too open when Iason Katsaros came free, but Eustratios Koufaliotis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Varies FC's goalkeeper Eustratios Koufaliotis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stelios Mavroidis. The supporters of Varies FC booed when Mylopotamos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Markos Fotiadis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stergios Stratikis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sofoklis Paraskevopoulos in the 31st minute of play. Prokopis Malesios could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Eustratios Koufaliotis made a huge save. After having played for 41 minutes, Stelios Mavroidis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mylopotamos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stelios Mavroidis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eustratios Koufaliotis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iason Katsaros, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stamatis Poulakis made a kick off. With a little luck, Mylopotamos FC's Stergios Stratikis got control of the ball when Stamatis Poulakis tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iason Katsaros in the 54th minute of play forced Varies FC's goalkeeper Eustratios Koufaliotis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stamatis Poulakis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stergios Stratikis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute Varies FC were awarded a corner. Anastasios Kalokiris went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Anastasios Kalokiris got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Stergios Stratikis quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Stamatis Poulakis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 67 minutes into the match, Varies FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandros Kyprianos came free, but Eustratios Koufaliotis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th match minute, Varies FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anastasios Kalokiris to maneuver through the defense. Stelios Mavroidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustratios Koufaliotis having to interfere. Sofoklis Paraskevopoulos was extremely unlucky when he, in the 79th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 84th minute, Sofoklis Paraskevopoulos fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Anastasios Kalokiris's late challenge caught a Mylopotamos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anastasios Kalokiris helped the player get up and apologised. Anastasios Kalokiris hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 97th minute Iason Katsaros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eustratios Koufaliotis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Varies FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Mylopotamos FC.
