When Manos Ferekidis fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Π.Α.Ο.Κ.'s protests and gave Manos Ferekidis a yellow card for diving instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. The audience was convinced that Gualter Sena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thodoris Kourentas was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Panos Spanos kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. When Gualter Sena came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Koropνon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gualter Sena couldn't finish the play. Koropνon walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
