After having played for 7 minutes, Marinos Maragos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AZZURRO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marinos Maragos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 8th match minute, Chelsea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evripidis Charatos to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of AZZURRO booed when Chelsea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Theofilos Daniilopoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chelsea's Gerasimos Triantafyllou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marinos Maragos in the 19th minute of play. Gerasimos Triantafyllou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marinos Maragos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in AZZURRO's zone, Dionysis Stathas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giannis Kakatsios came out of the goal and Dionysis Stathas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Charis Martinis in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gerasimos Triantafyllou saved Chelsea from getting behind. Chelsea's Gerasimos Triantafyllou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charis Martinis in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chelsea's goalkeeper Gerasimos Triantafyllou, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marinos Maragos in the 47th minute of play forced Chelsea's goalkeeper Gerasimos Triantafyllou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Marinos Maragos made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Chelsea's goal looked a bit too open when Marinos Maragos came free, but Gerasimos Triantafyllou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A well-hit corner resulted in Lambros Leotsakos heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Dionysis Stathas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dionysis Stathas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Giannis Kakatsios tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Dionysis Stathas came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Chelsea fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dionysis Stathas couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in AZZURRO's zone, Nikos Kalogerakos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giannis Kakatsios came out of the goal and Nikos Kalogerakos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Giannis Kakatsios showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dionysis Stathas, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 75th match minute, Chelsea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fanis Chatzidis to maneuver through the defense. Lambis Loukas was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 75th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Charis Martinis managed to get in a good position for a shot. AZZURRO's supporters rose to their feet, but Charis Martinis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gerasimos Triantafyllou breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dionysis Stathas in the 81st minute of play forced AZZURRO's goalkeeper Giannis Kakatsios to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Charis Martinis managed to get in a good position for a shot. AZZURRO's supporters rose to their feet, but Charis Martinis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gerasimos Triantafyllou breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gerasimos Triantafyllou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marinos Maragos in the 87th minute of the match. 95 minutes into the match, Chelsea's Dionysis Stathas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Giannis Kakatsios narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dionysis Stathas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The AZZURRO players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Chelsea from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
