In the 3rd minute, Stamatis Poulakis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nikos Bougatsas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Marinos Mitropoulos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustratios Koufaliotis having to interfere. Chrisostomos Zinas did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Eustratios Koufaliotis 18 minutes into the match. Marinos Mitropoulos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Eustratios Koufaliotis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, Stamatis Poulakis notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Zagariαko's Nikos Bougatsas. Nikos Bougatsas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 31st minute, Stamatis Poulakis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eustratios Koufaliotis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chrisostomos Zinas, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. The supporters of Zagariαko booed when Varies FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anastasios Kalokiris didn't get a good kick on the ball.

A collision led to Zagariαko getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Akakios Karalexopoulos hit a great ball. Varies FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stamatis Poulakis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A very good chance. 88 minutes into the game, Thrasivoulos Tzanakakis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Varies FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zagariαko the free kick. In the 93rd minute, Anastasios Kalokiris hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Although Zagariαko had been in control for most of the match, Varies FC still came away with the win.
