With a left leg Thodoris Kourentas saved Π.Α.Ο.Κ. from getting behind. If Kosmas Tatoulis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 12 played minutes Π.Α.Ο.Κ. got a freekick which was hit by Manos Ferekidis. Vaggelis Sigalas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thodoris Kourentas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Thodoris Kourentas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Takis Katsakos in the 17th minute of the match. After having played for 22 minutes, Diogenis Zografos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Π.Α.Ο.Κ.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Diogenis Zografos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 23 minutes, Panos Spanos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Π.Α.Ο.Κ. and the kakodiki fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of kakodiki fc booed when Π.Α.Ο.Κ. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Panos Spanos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kosmas Tatoulis might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thodoris Kourentas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kosmas Tatoulis ran back to his position shaking his head. If Diogenis Zografos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Takis Katsakos to strike the kick off in the second half. Thodoris Kourentas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Markos Mitrakoglou in the 55th minute of the match. Gerasimos Kotsiopoulos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alekos Koulakiotis, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind kakodiki fc's goalkeeper Gerasimos Kotsiopoulos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 65th minute, one of Π.Α.Ο.Κ.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Π.Α.Ο.Κ.. The goalkeeper, Thodoris Kourentas, was totally fooled by kakodiki fc's Paraskevas Panagiotas, who 67 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Takis Katsakos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Thodoris Kourentas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 73rd minute of the game. One of kakodiki fc:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Π.Α.Ο.Κ.:s goal. Alekos Koulakiotis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Gerasimos Kotsiopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vaggelis Sigalas hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Gerasimos Kotsiopoulos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diogenis Zografos, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 81st minute, Kosmas Tatoulis made a precise shot to the right of Thodoris Kourentas. Π.Α.Ο.Κ.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 90th minute, Kosmas Tatoulis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thodoris Kourentas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kosmas Tatoulis in the 95th minute. If Kosmas Tatoulis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute.
