In the 2nd match minute, AZZURRO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Spyros Panagiotoulis to maneuver through the defense. Zagariαko's Marinos Mitropoulos got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marinos Mitropoulos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Giannis Kakatsios having to make a save. Aris Lykos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giannis Kakatsios having to interfere. Menios Trilofos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikos Bougatsas having to interfere. In the 23rdth minute of the game Chrisostomos Zinas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AZZURRO's Giannis Kakatsios was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zagariαko's Errikos Marinakis got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marinos Maragos took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nikos Bougatsas. Nikos Bougatsas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 31 minutes into the match, Marinos Maragos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nikos Bougatsas. Zagariαko's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marinos Maragos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Giannis Kakatsios made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Aris Lykos sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, AZZURRO's Marinos Maragos got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 40th minute, Marinos Mitropoulos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nikos Bougatsas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charis Martinis in the 42nd minute of the match. After the first half AZZURRO were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The audience was convinced that Chrisostomos Zinas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Giannis Kakatsios was relentless in the 54th minute of the game.
