An unexpectedly hard shot by Alekos Koulakiotis in the 7th minute of play forced DJ GP's goalkeeper Andrzej Barniszke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Esteban Igual came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the DJ GP fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Esteban Igual couldn't finish the play. Petros Selionis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Thodoris Kourentas having to make a save. In the 23rd match minute, Π.Α.Ο.Κ. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miltiadis Kapodistrias to maneuver through the defense. Su Rong Cheng hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After having played for 31 minutes, Alekos Koulakiotis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Π.Α.Ο.Κ.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Alekos Koulakiotis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Π.Α.Ο.Κ. defense, Zinon Loubakis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thodoris Kourentas. The Π.Α.Ο.Κ. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thodoris Kourentas should have stopped the shot. Esteban Igual could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Thodoris Kourentas made a huge save. Panos Spanos charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Panos Spanos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. DJ GP's Petros Selionis got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Π.Α.Ο.Κ. getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Manos Ferekidis hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alekos Koulakiotis made a kick off. Petros Selionis struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Thodoris Kourentas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DJ GP. After a defensive mix-up in Π.Α.Ο.Κ.'s zone, Petros Selionis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thodoris Kourentas came out of the goal and Petros Selionis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 62nd minute, Esteban Igual got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 64th match minute, Π.Α.Ο.Κ. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Panos Spanos to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Π.Α.Ο.Κ.'s zone, Esteban Igual stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thodoris Kourentas came out of the goal and Esteban Igual tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Esteban Igual sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Esteban Igual recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Esteban Igual had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Petros Selionis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thodoris Kourentas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petros Selionis, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After a rather tough play, Π.Α.Ο.Κ.'s Miltiadis Kapodistrias got a free kick in the 76th minute. The supporters of Π.Α.Ο.Κ. booed when DJ GP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esteban Igual didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pavlos Aggelis was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 80th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Esteban Igual took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thodoris Kourentas. Thodoris Kourentas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Petros Selionis kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. After 90 minutes, Zinon Loubakis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DJ GP and the Π.Α.Ο.Κ. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Zinon Loubakis hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. When Petros Selionis came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the DJ GP fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Petros Selionis couldn't finish the play. DJ GP's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
