Dimosthenis Asimos charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dimosthenis Asimos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Tyflosιllion's Dimosthenis Asimos got a free kick in the 9th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thanasis Aggelopoulos got free with Christos Mavros in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Viktoras Polimenakos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tyflosιllion's supporters rose to their feet, but Viktoras Polimenakos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iraklis Vourkos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanasis Aggelopoulos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christos Mavros having to interfere. Dimosthenis Asimos was shown his second yellow card after 31 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 32 played minutes Tyflosιllion got a freekick which was hit by Dimosthenis Asimos. With his leg Christos Mavros managed to avoid a goal in the 33rdth minute, when Santorini's Thanasis Aggelopoulos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thanasis Aggelopouloss short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Christos Mavros to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Santorini booed when Tyflosιllion was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andreas Kalogeros didn't get a good kick on the ball. 40 minutes into the game, Thanasis Aggelopoulos lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Christos Mavros. After a defensive mix-up in Tyflosιllion's zone, Thanasis Aggelopoulos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christos Mavros came out of the goal and Thanasis Aggelopoulos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 48 minutes into the game, Nikitas Nikoloulis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Christos Mavros was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vaggelis Koutsilas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Santorini booed when Tyflosιllion was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thanos Schizas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanasis Aggelopoulos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christos Mavros having to interfere. Thanasis Aggelopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vaggelis Koutsilas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Iraklis Vourkos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 66th match minute, Tyflosιllion was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giorgos Arabatzis to maneuver through the defense. In the 67th match minute, Tyflosιllion was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Viktoras Polimenakos to maneuver through the defense. Thanasis Aggelopoulos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christos Mavros having to make a save. A collision led to Tyflosιllion getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Viktoras Polimenakos hit a great ball. Avraam Kantas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Santorini's Thanasis Aggelopoulos in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tyflosιllion's goalie prevented a goal. Charalambos Kaklamanos kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Avraam Kantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Christos Mavros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christos Mavros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thanasis Aggelopoulos in the 89th minute of the match. After having played for 90 minutes, Ntinos Meintanis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santorini's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ntinos Meintanis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vaggelis Koutsilas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tyflosιllion's Christos Mavros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thanasis Aggelopoulos in the 98th minute of play. Santorini walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
