The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Santorini booed when Bνsia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexis Vasilakopoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evripidis Piliouras hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Alexis Vasilakopoulos from long distance, 7 minutes into the match, got Iraklis Vourkos's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 7 minutes into the game, Vrasidas Kardaris was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Santorini's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bνsia FC the free kick. In the 7th minute, Vrasidas Kardaris hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nikos Lefkopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thanasis Aggelopoulos in the 15th minute of play forced Bνsia FC's goalkeeper Isidoros Antonopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanasis Aggelopoulos might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isidoros Antonopoulos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Thanasis Aggelopoulos ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 21st match minute, Bνsia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ermis Karaliopoulos to maneuver through the defense. When Santorini's Thanasis Aggelopoulos in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bνsia FC's goalie prevented a goal. Thanasis Aggelopoulos struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Thodoris Sarafis's late challenge caught a Santorini's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thodoris Sarafis helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Bνsia FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Thodoris Sarafis hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Nikitas Nikoloulis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santorini's supporters rose to their feet, but Nikitas Nikoloulis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isidoros Antonopoulos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 33 minutes, Thanasis Aggelopoulos made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Bνsia FC's Isidoros Antonopoulos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 38th match minute, Santorini was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charalambos Kaklamanos to maneuver through the defense. In the 42nd match minute, Bνsia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emmanouil Asimiadis to maneuver through the defense. 44 minutes into the game, Thanasis Aggelopoulos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Iraklis Vasiliou made a kick off. 60 minutes into the match, Thanasis Aggelopoulos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Isidoros Antonopoulos. Bνsia FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Thanasis Aggelopoulos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. 63 minutes into the match, Avraam Kantas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Isidoros Antonopoulos, 0-4. With his leg Isidoros Antonopoulos managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when Santorini's Thanasis Aggelopoulos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Avraam Kantas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nikos Lefkopoulos scored 1-4 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Iraklis Vourkos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 81 minutes, Giorgos Zouloumis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Santorini and the Bνsia FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 81 played minutes Santorini got a freekick which was hit by Giorgos Zouloumis. In the 82nd minute, a hard, long distance shot from Alexis Vasilakopoulos hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. Iraklis Vourkos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nikos Lefkopoulos in the 85th minute of the match. Isidoros Antonopoulos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Avraam Kantas, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Santorini's Iraklis Vourkos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iraklis Vasiliou in the 89th minute of play.
