When Giannis Karoubalis fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galanianα FC's protests and gave Giannis Karoubalis a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Coca Juniors booed when Galanianα FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giannis Karoubalis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Giorgos Baltas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pavlos Rodinos in the 8th minute. Pavlos Rodinos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giorgos Baltas having to interfere. Fokas Mitrakis kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Galanianα FC's Koulis Valassiou got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Giannis Saveris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alkis Belidis in the 25th minute of the match. Lazaros Stavropodis charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lazaros Stavropodis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lazaros Stavropodis hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. 30 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Galanianα FC's Alkis Belidis fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. With a little luck, Galanianα FC's Giorgos Baltas got control of the ball when Pavlos Rodinos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fokas Mitrakis hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Giorgos Baltas made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Pavlos Rodinos sent off a good shot on target. Pavlos Rodinos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giorgos Baltas having to interfere. If Pavlos Rodinos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pavlos Rodinos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Giorgos Baltas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 44 minutes in the game, Ntinos Staboulis fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Giorgos Baltas having to interfere. After some careless play in the Coca Juniors defense, Koulis Valassiou kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Giannis Saveris. The Coca Juniors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giannis Saveris should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Koulis Valassiou was the one to do the kick off. Giannis Saveris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Koulis Valassiou in the 59th minute of the match. After having played for 61 minutes, Pavlos Rodinos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coca Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pavlos Rodinos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alkis Belidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alkis Belidis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Giannis Saveris read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Alkis Belidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Giannis Saveris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute Koulis Valassiou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giannis Saveris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Coca Juniors's Giannis Saveris got control of the ball when Alkis Belidis tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Coca Juniors getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Lazaros Stavropodis hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Coca Juniors's zone, Alkis Belidis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giannis Saveris came out of the goal and Alkis Belidis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Giorgos Baltas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ntinos Staboulis, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Galanianα FC's Giorgos Baltas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pavlos Rodinos in the 97th minute of play. The Coca Juniors supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Galanianα FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Galanianα FC.
