In the 14thth minute of the game Thanasis Aggelopoulos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Galanianα FC's Giorgos Baltas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thanasis Aggelopoulos in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Giorgos Baltas saved Galanianα FC from getting behind. Fokas Mitrakis's late challenge caught a Santorini's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fokas Mitrakis helped the player get up and apologised. After 21 played minutes Galanianα FC got a freekick which was hit by Fokas Mitrakis. In the 22nd minute of the match Evripidis Piliouras sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Giorgos Baltas skillfully saved the ball. Koulis Valassiou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Giannis Karoubalis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Galanianα FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Zisis Bithas hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Evripidis Piliouras managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santorini's supporters rose to their feet, but Evripidis Piliouras was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giorgos Baltas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nikitas Nikoloulis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Santorini fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when Santorini's Thanasis Aggelopoulos looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Alkis Belidis struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Iraklis Vourkos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galanianα FC. After some careless play in the Galanianα FC defense, Avraam Kantas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Giorgos Baltas. The Galanianα FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giorgos Baltas should have stopped the shot. After the first half Santorini were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Koulis Valassiou was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thanasis Aggelopoulos got free with Giorgos Baltas in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nikitas Nikoloulis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Galanianα FC's Giorgos Baltas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thanasis Aggelopoulos in the 56th minute of play. With his leg Giorgos Baltas managed to avoid a goal in the 58thth minute, when Santorini's Thanasis Aggelopoulos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Koulis Valassiou hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Thanasis Aggelopouloss short, quick shot in the 63rdth minute got Giorgos Baltas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Fokas Mitrakis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galanianα FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fokas Mitrakis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iraklis Vourkos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Koulis Valassiou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Iraklis Vourkos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Giorgos Zouloumis hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Alkis Belidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iraklis Vourkos having to interfere. Galanianα FC's Koulis Valassiou managed to work through Santorini's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Koulis Valassiou dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Alkis Belidis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 86th minute, Giannis Karoubalis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Alkis Belidis came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Galanianα FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alkis Belidis couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Galanianα FC booed when Santorini was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vrasidas Kardaris didn't get a good kick on the ball. Giorgos Baltas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Avraam Kantas in the 94th minute. Giorgos Baltas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thanasis Aggelopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After taking down the ball on Santorini's corner Evripidis Piliouras fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Giorgos Baltas quite easily take care of the ball.
