Panagiotis Giantzis was a little too slow when Stratos Bakiris got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 1-0. Stratos Bakiris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Panagiotis Giantzis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paris Kourabies charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paris Kourabies the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 20 played minutes Ermis Kiveriou got a freekick which was hit by Paris Kourabies. If Stratos Bakiris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eustratios Vdelas's late challenge caught a Ermis Kiveriou's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eustratios Vdelas helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Iraklis's Eustratios Vdelas got a free kick in the 30th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Pantelis Ikonomakis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ermis Kiveriou's supporters rose to their feet, but Pantelis Ikonomakis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stefanos Asimakopoulos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Giorgos Poulianitis fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Iraklis's protests and gave Giorgos Poulianitis a yellow card for diving instead. Iraklis's Stefanos Asimakopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pantelis Ikonomakis in the 60th minute of play. If Grigoris Karageorgopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Ermis Kiveriou's zone, Grigoris Karageorgopoulos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Panagiotis Giantzis came out of the goal and Grigoris Karageorgopoulos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Iraklis's Dionysis Papapetrou got a free kick in the 71st minute. Ermis Kiveriou's Akis Skalidis couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Iraklis. Thomas Klanidis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Stefanos Asimakopoulos made a huge save. In the 74th minute, Eustratios Vdelas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nikos Kourtis hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Pantelis Ikonomakis took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Stefanos Asimakopoulos to make any attempt to save it. Grigoris Karageorgopoulos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Panagiotis Giantzis having to interfere. Iraklis's Stratos Bakiris got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Ermis Kiveriou booed when Iraklis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giorgos Stamoulis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stefanos Asimakopoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pantelis Ikonomakis in the 96th minute of the match. Stefanos Asimakopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pantelis Ikonomakis in the 97th minute of play.
