In the 21st minute Takis Gaitanidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kyriakos Ntougeroglou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kyriakos Ntougeroglou made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alexis Petrou in the 30th minute. If Thomas Karagiorgos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in PARALIES's zone, Takis Gaitanidis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kyriakos Ntougeroglou came out of the goal and Takis Gaitanidis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexis Petrou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Kyriakos Ntougeroglou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexis Petrou in the 54th minute of the match. After 57 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for PAOK NEAPOLI! In the 62nd minute Stavros Kantaifas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Spyros Tachtsidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, PARALIES's goal looked a bit too open when Alexis Petrou came free, but Kyriakos Ntougeroglou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Savas Veggos in the 74th minute of play forced PARALIES's goalkeeper Kyriakos Ntougeroglou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 75 played minutes PAOK NEAPOLI got a freekick which was hit by Periklis Mitrakos. Takis Gaitanidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 83 minutes into the game, Alexis Petrou cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Kyriakos Ntougeroglou was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Stavros Kantaifas kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, PARALIES's goal looked a bit too open when Takis Gaitanidis came free, but Kyriakos Ntougeroglou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Vlassis Charoulis managed to get in a good position for a shot. PAOK NEAPOLI's supporters rose to their feet, but Vlassis Charoulis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kyriakos Ntougeroglou breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The PAOK NEAPOLI manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing PARALIES to win.
