The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Veniamin Lagoudakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 5th minute, Konstantinos Kododimos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Veniamin Lagoudakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Michalis Leontiou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Veniamin Lagoudakis in the 8th minute of play. Michalis Leontiou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Konstantinos Kododimos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Veniamin Lagoudakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Michalis Leontiou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Michalis Leontiou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Veniamin Lagoudakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Konstantinos Ritsos kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Konstantinos Kododimos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Charis Paspalakis kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. When Valentinos Theodorou came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Skoúnda FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valentinos Theodorou couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Olympiakos fc's Ignatios Veniamin got a free kick in the 27th minute. If Konstantinos Kododimos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valentinos Theodorou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valentinos Theodorou struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Chatziantoniou Bourbos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Skoúnda FC.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valentinos Theodorou stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Miltos Saveris hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Veniamin Lagoudakis was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 55th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After having played for 57 minutes, Nikos Tosodoulis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skoúnda FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nikos Tosodoulis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Veniamin Lagoudakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd match minute, Skoúnda FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Konstantinos Ritsos to maneuver through the defense. If Veniamin Lagoudakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chatziantoniou Bourbos came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Skoúnda FC's Nikos Tosodoulis. But to his dismay, Nikos Tosodoulis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. If Nikos Tosodoulis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Konstantinos Kododimos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michalis Leontiou having to interfere. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Skoúnda FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Olympiakos fc for much of the match.
