The supporters of PAOK NEAPOLI booed when Petouniα was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Panos Papadimas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Petouniα's zone, Alexis Petrou stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marios Mazarakis came out of the goal and Alexis Petrou tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of PAOK NEAPOLI booed when Petouniα was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Panos Papadimas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vlassis Charoulis kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in PAOK NEAPOLI's zone, Stamatis Matsoukelis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Spyros Tachtsidis came out of the goal and Stamatis Matsoukelis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stamatis Matsoukelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Spyros Tachtsidis having to interfere. Alexis Petrou's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marios Mazarakis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Stamatis Matsoukelis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Takis Gaitanidis made the kick off in the second half. PAOK NEAPOLI's Spyros Tachtsidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sakis Skandalidis in the 53rd minute of play. Sakis Skandalidis kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Stergios Mavrokordatos hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Sakis Skandalidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Spyros Tachtsidis having to interfere. After 69 minutes of play, Petouniα's Stamatis Matsoukelis made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Spyros Tachtsidis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Takis Poulakis hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Alexis Petrou recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Stergios Mavrokordatos's late challenge caught a Petouniα's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stergios Mavrokordatos helped the player get up and apologised. Stergios Mavrokordatos hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 82nd minute of the match PAOK NEAPOLI got a corner. Petouniα's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Periklis Mitrakos ran over to the corner to take the kick. Periklis Mitrakos made a great header on PAOK NEAPOLI's corner, it was just that Petouniα's Marios Mazarakis managed to reach the ball for a save. Marios Mazarakis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alexis Petrou in the 86th minute. The supporters of Petouniα booed when PAOK NEAPOLI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nektarios Moustos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sakis Skandalidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Spyros Tachtsidis having to interfere. Petouniα's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
