Theocharis Pachatouridis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Kostas Pavlakos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A.E. KANALIWN's Kostas Pavlakos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manos Tsounidis in the 14th minute of play. When Selista's Theocharis Pachatouridis in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye A.E. KANALIWN's goalie prevented a goal. Selista's Simos Moras proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Selista from getting a goal against them. Theocharis Pachatouridis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kostas Pavlakos having to interfere. With a little luck, Selista's Simos Moras got control of the ball when Tasos Koulopodis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Odysseas Zouboulidis hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Kostas Perdikouris was extremely unlucky when he, in the 36th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tasos Koulopodis got free with Simos Moras in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Tasos Koulopodis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kostas Perdikouris was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Selista getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Fondas Letsas hit a great ball. If Tasos Koulopodis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 64 minutes into the match, Selista's Theocharis Pachatouridis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kostas Pavlakos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Theocharis Pachatouridis came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Selista fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Theocharis Pachatouridis couldn't finish the play. Lambros Santamouris charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lambros Santamouris the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to A.E. KANALIWN getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Lambros Santamouris hit a great ball. Kostas Perdikouris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Simos Moras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 75 played minutes Selista got a freekick which was hit by Tasos Kioulekas. Simos Moras didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kostas Perdikouris went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Manos Tsounidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kostas Pavlakos having to interfere. A.E. KANALIWN were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Selista for a fine match.
