The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5thth minute of the game Kostas Perdikouris who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Che Guevara's Renos Ignatiou was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 5th match minute, Che Guevara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stratos Sourlis to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kostas Perdikouris in the 7th minute of play forced Che Guevara's goalkeeper Renos Ignatiou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tasos Koulopodis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 16 minutes into the game, Aris Lazaris was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Che Guevara's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A.E. KANALIWN the free kick. A collision led to Che Guevara getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Aris Lazaris hit a great ball. Aris Lazaris recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Filippos Kastanis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kostas Pavlakos having to make a save. In the 25th minute of the match, Kostas Perdikouris tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Renos Ignatiou saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, Che Guevara's Nontas Preftokis got a free kick in the 28th minute. After recieving a nice pass, A.E. KANALIWN's Vaggelis Potamiotis tried to score from far away in the 29th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The attack was good, but when Kostas Perdikouris in the 34th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Kostas Perdikouris managed to get in a good position for a shot. A.E. KANALIWN's supporters rose to their feet, but Kostas Perdikouris was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Renos Ignatiou breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 38 minutes, Nontas Preftokis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Che Guevara and the A.E. KANALIWN players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tasos Koulopodis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renos Ignatiou having to interfere. Renos Ignatiou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kostas Perdikouris in the 44th minute of play. In the 48th minute, Che Guevara's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tasos Koulopodis fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kostas Perdikouris stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Che Guevara defense, Kostas Perdikouris kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Renos Ignatiou. The Che Guevara fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Renos Ignatiou should have stopped the shot. In the 56th minute, Tasos Koulopodis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The A.E. KANALIWN fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. A collision led to Che Guevara getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Nontas Preftokis hit a great ball. Renos Ignatiou came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by A.E. KANALIWN's Tasos Koulopodis. But to his dismay, Tasos Koulopodis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. If Aris Lazaris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute Filippos Kastanis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kostas Pavlakos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute Tasos Koulopodis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renos Ignatiou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Stratos Sourlis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 5-1 became the score in the 88th minute when Kostas Perdikouris elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Kostas Perdikouris came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the A.E. KANALIWN fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kostas Perdikouris couldn't finish the play. Filippos Kastanis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. A.E. KANALIWN fully deserved thier win.
