Spectators: 7448 (Terracing: 5525, Seating: 1770, VIP seats: 153) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Thomas Stavrou got the match started through his kick off. Lambis Psiris stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thomas Stavrou's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. After some careless play in the Bαrji FC defense, Thomas Stavrou kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lambis Psiris. The Bαrji FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lambis Psiris should have stopped the shot. Thomas Stavrou succeeded in the game's 9th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. In the 16th minute, Sokratis Spyrou left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bαrji FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Thomas Stavrou might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lambis Psiris. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Thomas Stavrou ran back to his position shaking his head. Lambis Psiris came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Gortynia's Thomas Stavrou. But to his dismay, Thomas Stavrou quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Giorgos Voulgaris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Lambis Psiris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lambis Psiris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomas Stavrou in the 45th minute of play. When Thomas Stavrou came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Gortynia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thomas Stavrou couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Giorgos Vyntras to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Thomas Stavrou managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gortynia's supporters rose to their feet, but Thomas Stavrou was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lambis Psiris breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thomas Stavrou could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Lambis Psiris made a huge save. Lambis Psiris made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thomas Stavrou in the 64th minute. 3-3 became the score in the 73rd minute when Thymios Skinas elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Giorgos Voulgaris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Giorgos Voulgaris's late challenge caught a Bαrji FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Giorgos Voulgaris helped the player get up and apologised. After 82 played minutes Gortynia got a freekick which was hit by Giorgos Voulgaris. Lambis Psiris was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Giorgos Voulgaris showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-4 in the 85 minute of play. Giorgos Voulgaris recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anestis Fanakos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giorgos Vyntras in the 93rd minute of play. Gortynia played a much better game than Bαrji FC and deserved their victory. The Bαrji FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
