When Thomas Valkanas came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Panathinaikos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thomas Valkanas couldn't finish the play. In the 12th minute, Thomas Valkanas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Panathinaikos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. messangeles's Charilaos Kominis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Valkanas in the 16th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Charilaos Kritikopoulos in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Charilaos Kominis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Charilaos Kominis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Valkanas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Panathinaikos's Dionysis Boulas got control of the ball when Alexandros Ifantis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Charilaos Kominis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Thomas Valkanas went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Charilaos Kominis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Charilaos Kominis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Charilaos Kominis made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Charilaos Kritikopoulos sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, messangeles's Charilaos Kominis got control of the ball when Charilaos Kritikopoulos tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Panathinaikos getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Christos Kolonelos hit a great ball. The supporters of Panathinaikos booed when messangeles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miltos Gountelitsas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Panathinaikos played a much better game than messangeles and deserved their victory. The messangeles players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
