Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) When Charis Manolas came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Arvanitaνika FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Charis Manolas couldn't finish the play. If Charilaos Kritikopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Arvanitaνika FC's zone, Thomas Valkanas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ilias Tsakiris came out of the goal and Thomas Valkanas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arvanitaνika FC's Ilias Tsakiris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Valkanas in the 14th minute of play. When Petros Sikkas fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Panathinaikos's protests and gave Petros Sikkas a yellow card for diving instead. After 17 played minutes Panathinaikos got a freekick which was hit by Petros Sikkas. 21 minutes into the match, Charis Manolas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dionysis Boulas. Panathinaikos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Charis Manolas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Thomas Valkanas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Ilias Tsakiris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Panathinaikos's goal looked a bit too open when Charis Manolas came free, but Dionysis Boulas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Charilaos Kritikopoulos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilias Tsakiris having to interfere. Ilias Tsakiris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Valkanas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd match minute, Panathinaikos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petros Sikkas to maneuver through the defense. If Charilaos Kritikopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dionysis Boulas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grigoris Kaliakoudis, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Charilaos Kritikopoulos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Thomas Valkanas made the kick off in the second half. Dionysis Boulas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Charis Manolas in the 55th minute. Charilaos Kritikopoulos took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ilias Tsakiris. Ilias Tsakiris dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Konstantinos Balodimos's late challenge caught a Panathinaikos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Konstantinos Balodimos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 59th match minute, Arvanitaνika FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Konstantinos Balodimos to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Thomas Valkanas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ilias Tsakiris was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Charilaos Kritikopoulos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alekos Zabetas kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. In the 75th minute Charilaos Kritikopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilias Tsakiris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78thth minute of the game Thomas Valkanas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arvanitaνika FC's Ilias Tsakiris was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 79 minutes, Charilaos Kritikopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panathinaikos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Charilaos Kritikopoulos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 81st minute, Thomas Valkanas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ilias Tsakiris was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After having played for 85 minutes, Thomas Valkanas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panathinaikos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thomas Valkanas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ilias Tsakiris was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thomas Valkanas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Panathinaikos had played much better football throughout.
