The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Konstantinos Parginos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 9th minute Apostolis Keratakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Loukianos Romanakos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Apostolis Keratakis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Loukianos Romanakos was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Manolis Mandraflis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Spyros Kavouratos having to interfere. With a little luck, Vlαsis's Loukianos Romanakos got control of the ball when Avraam Bonovas tried to sneak it across the goal line. PAOK FC 1926's Spyros Kavouratos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dimos Manousakis in the 29th minute of play. Vlαsis's Loukianos Romanakos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Vlαsis from getting a goal against them. Spyros Kavouratos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dimos Manousakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Spyros Kavouratos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evripidis Sarantaris in the 39th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Apostolis Keratakis to make the kick off. Konstantinos Parginos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Spyros Kavouratos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute Adamantios Kareklopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Loukianos Romanakos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Loukianos Romanakos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. When Alketas Vouras fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vlαsis's protests and gave Alketas Vouras a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Vlαsis's Alketas Vouras got a free kick in the 68th minute. Spyros Kavouratos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dimos Manousakis showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 71 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Avraam Bonovas in the 80th minute of play forced Vlαsis's goalkeeper Loukianos Romanakos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd match minute, Vlαsis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sotiris Chatzikostas to maneuver through the defense. Konstantinos Parginos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute.
