Thanasis Karvouniaris made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Eutichios Kyrimlis came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the TALIOURIDES fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eutichios Kyrimlis couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Adhrαktia booed when TALIOURIDES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kostas Skandalis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Theagenis Sikalopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vassilis Louboutis in the 28th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, TALIOURIDES's goalkeeper Theagenis Sikalopoulos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dimosthenis Drambas. Theagenis Sikalopoulos was a little too slow when Dimosthenis Drambas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 1-1. 38 minutes into the game, TALIOURIDES's Eutichios Kyrimlis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thanasis Karvouniaris made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Adhrαktia's zone, Kyriakos Kanetis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thanasis Karvouniaris came out of the goal and Kyriakos Kanetis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanasis Karvouniaris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kyriakos Kanetis in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Eutichios Kyrimlis made a precise shot to the right of Thanasis Karvouniaris. Adhrαktia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. After the first half TALIOURIDES were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vassilis Louboutis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanasis Karvouniaris made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Eutichios Kyrimlis sent off a good shot on target. Stratos Kapsokefalos hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. TALIOURIDES's Apostolis Sakalis couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 57th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Adhrαktia. After a rather tough play, Adhrαktia's Dimitris Katritsis got a free kick in the 61st minute. Adhrαktia's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Kyriakos Kanetis 62 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-4. In the 67th minute, TALIOURIDES's Kyriakos Kanetis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. Adhrαktia's Thanasis Karvouniaris proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Adhrαktia from getting a goal against them. 79 minutes into the match, TALIOURIDES's Apostolis Sakalis broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 80th minute, Dimitris Katritsis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. TALIOURIDES's Theagenis Sikalopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vassilis Louboutis in the 82nd minute of play. Vassilis Louboutis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Theagenis Sikalopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanasis Karvouniaris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kyriakos Kanetis in the 90th minute of the match. If Dimosthenis Drambas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over TALIOURIDES could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Adhrαktia throughout the match.
