With a little luck, Paris Saint Germain's Petros Kioumourtzoglou got control of the ball when Alejandro Asur tried to sneak it across the goal line. 12 minutes had been played when some careless play by Paris Saint Germain's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Halil İbrahim Soysan was slow to take the kick. During this time HANNIBAL's players had a chance to rest. Kosmas Laskaridis hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Paris Saint Germain's Petros Kioumourtzoglou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Panos Kouloucheris in the 16th minute of play. Jan Wicherek could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Petros Kioumourtzoglou made a huge save. In the 21st minute, Panos Kouloucheris got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 25 minutes into the game, Jan Wicherek cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Petros Kioumourtzoglou was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Petros Kioumourtzoglou made an important save on a dangerous shot by Panos Kouloucheris in the 33rd minute. Jan Wicherek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Petros Kioumourtzoglou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Paris Saint Germain's goalkeeper Petros Kioumourtzoglou had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Panos Kouloucheris. An unexpectedly hard shot by Panos Kouloucheris in the 45th minute of play forced Paris Saint Germain's goalkeeper Petros Kioumourtzoglou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47thth minute of the game Jan Wicherek who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paris Saint Germain's Petros Kioumourtzoglou was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alejandro Asur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petros Kioumourtzoglou having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dimitris Massoutas to strike the kick off in the second half. When Alejandro Asur came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the HANNIBAL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alejandro Asur couldn't finish the play. After 56 minutes, Thanasis Barbounelis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paris Saint Germain and the HANNIBAL players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Paris Saint Germain getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Thanasis Barbounelis hit a great ball. Petros Kioumourtzoglou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Panos Kouloucheris in the 59th minute of play. Prodromos Kolleris hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Petros Kioumourtzoglou came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by HANNIBAL's Jan Wicherek. But to his dismay, Jan Wicherek quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. If Jan Wicherek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paris Saint Germain's Petros Kioumourtzoglou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Panos Kouloucheris in the 73rd minute of play. Petros Kioumourtzoglou didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alejandro Asur went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. If Panos Kouloucheris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes into the match, Paris Saint Germain's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Wicherek came free, but Petros Kioumourtzoglou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Petros Kioumourtzoglou stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Panos Kouloucheris's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Petros Kioumourtzoglou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alejandro Asur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Petros Kioumourtzoglou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alejandro Asur in the 94th minute of the match. Jan Wicherek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Petros Kioumourtzoglou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Paris Saint Germain's Iosif Konstantinidis got a free kick in the 98th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. HANNIBAL fully deserved thier win.
