If Pantelis Servetiadis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute, Charilaos Vyntras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, AKITA's Iakovos Pathiakakis got control of the ball when Pantelis Servetiadis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Iakovos Pathiakakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dimitris Massoutas in the 37th minute of the match. If Dimitris Massoutas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Paris Saint Germain's Dimitris Massoutas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Iakovos Pathiakakis. That made the score 1-0 after 43 minutes of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Andreas Kouveliotis to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the match Vassilis Papafotis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Iakovos Pathiakakis showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Pantelis Servetiadis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Andreas Kouveliotis managed to get in a good position for a shot. AKITA's supporters rose to their feet, but Andreas Kouveliotis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Petros Kioumourtzoglou breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 72ndth minute of the game Andreas Kouveliotis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paris Saint Germain's Petros Kioumourtzoglou was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 73 minutes into the game, AKITA's Babbis Anastasiadis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Petros Kioumourtzoglou came out and tried to block the shot, but Andreas Kouveliotis slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 78th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tolis Vezirgiannis during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Iakovos Pathiakakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
