In the 9th minute, Lakis Rakkas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dimitris Psikos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chatziantoniou Apostolou, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aggelos Leontokardos in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dimitris Psikos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lakis Rakkas in the 23rd minute of play forced Porta's goalkeeper Dimitris Psikos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dimitris Psikos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aggelos Leontokardos, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. The supporters of Lion of Serres 1964 booed when Porta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thanos Psikos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 27 played minutes Porta got a freekick which was hit by Charis Sidiropoulos. Lakis Rakkas took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dimitris Psikos. Dimitris Psikos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Aggelos Leontokardos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Dimitris Psikos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dimitris Psikos came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Lion of Serres 1964's Aggelos Leontokardos. But to his dismay, Aggelos Leontokardos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Lakis Rakkas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dimitris Psikos having to interfere. After some careless play in the Porta defense, Chatziantoniou Apostolou kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dimitris Psikos. The Porta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dimitris Psikos should have stopped the shot. After 47 played minutes Porta got a freekick which was hit by Nikiforos Kotsios. After some fancy dribbling in the 49th minute, Aggelos Leontokardos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lion of Serres 1964's supporters rose to their feet, but Aggelos Leontokardos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dimitris Psikos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kostas Rapsopodis to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chatziantoniou Apostolou during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Porta booed when Lion of Serres 1964 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chatziantoniou Apostolou didn't get a good kick on the ball. Konstantinos Bakakos took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dimitris Psikos. Dimitris Psikos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Dimitris Psikos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lakis Rakkas in the 81st minute of the match. If Lakis Rakkas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind Porta's goalkeeper Dimitris Psikos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match was over Lion of Serres 1964 could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Porta throughout the match.
