Dimitris Digozis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eleftherios Karakostas having to make a save. Dimosthenis Adamakoglou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Simos Bakouris managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fc LEYKIMMIS's supporters rose to their feet, but Simos Bakouris was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eleftherios Karakostas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 33 minutes into the game, Simos Bakouris recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eleftherios Karakostas. Simos Bakouris showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The supporters of Fc LEYKIMMIS booed when Apollon Apollonias was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lakis Stergiou didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dimosthenis Adamakoglou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Simos Bakouris struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Kostas Ioannidis made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Babbis Tragos sent off a good shot on target. The attack was good, but when Simos Bakouris in the 67th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Eleftherios Karakostas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thymios Charakoglou in the 75th minute of play. Kostas Ioannidis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stathis Markonis, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Apollon Apollonias's goal looked a bit too open when Simos Bakouris came free, but Eleftherios Karakostas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dimosthenis Adamakoglou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eleftherios Karakostas having to interfere. Kostas Ioannidis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stathis Markonis, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Fc LEYKIMMIS walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
