If Dimitris Karkabasis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Panos Karypidis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chelsea's supporters rose to their feet, but Panos Karypidis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anestis Kladas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Panos Karypidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute, Valerios Apostolakis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thanos Michailidis in the 30th minute of play forced Chelsea's goalkeeper Alkinoos Fanaras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dimitris Karkabasis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anestis Kladas having to interfere. Alkinoos Fanaras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valerios Apostolakis in the 37th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Valerios Apostolakis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alkinoos Fanaras was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 42nd minute Valerios Apostolakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alkinoos Fanaras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Panos Karypidis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dimitris Karkabasis took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anestis Kladas. Anestis Kladas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Anestis Kladas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Panos Karypidis went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Chelsea's Alkinoos Fanaras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thanos Michailidis in the 65th minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Panos Karypidis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anestis Kladas. Constantinople Royal Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Panos Karypidis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Alkinoos Fanaras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thanos Michailidis, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. With his leg Alkinoos Fanaras managed to avoid a goal in the 81stth minute, when Constantinople Royal Club's Valerios Apostolakis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Dimitris Kelpekis's late challenge caught a Constantinople Royal Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dimitris Kelpekis helped the player get up and apologised. In the 83rd match minute, Chelsea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dimitris Kelpekis to maneuver through the defense.
