Stergios Veggos might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sotos Katevatis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stergios Veggos ran back to his position shaking his head. Diogenis Toursounidis hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Nikos Stilianopoulos's late challenge caught a Mikrá Sánta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nikos Stilianopoulos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 15th match minute, Santorini was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nikos Stilianopoulos to maneuver through the defense. Mikrá Sánta's defense didn't have a chance, in the 22nd minute, when Pipis Karaindros scored to the left of an out of position Dionysis Naskos, making the score, 1-0. After having played for 26 minutes, Manos Malezas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mikrá Sánta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manos Malezas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Santorini's Pipis Karaindros got a free kick in the 29th minute. Stergios Veggos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Sotos Katevatis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santorini's Sotos Katevatis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stergios Veggos in the 37th minute of play. If Manos Malezas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sotos Katevatis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stergios Veggos in the 43rd minute of play. A collision led to Santorini getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Nikos Stilianopoulos hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stergios Veggos in the 46th minute of play forced Santorini's goalkeeper Sotos Katevatis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fondas Platakidis to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Santorini's Pipis Karaindros got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Stergios Veggos struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Sotos Katevatis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mikrá Sánta. Stergios Veggos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manos Malezas might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sotos Katevatis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manos Malezas ran back to his position shaking his head. Apostolis Darlas was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 67th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Mikrá Sánta's Dionysis Naskos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fondas Platakidis in the 73rd minute of play. In the 74th match minute, Mikrá Sánta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alekos Konstantinidis to maneuver through the defense. Dionysis Naskos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fondas Platakidis in the 75th minute of the match. When Nikos Stilianopoulos was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 78 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Santorini's Nikos Stilianopoulos got a free kick in the 79th minute. Fondas Platakidis hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Sotos Katevatis had great luck who in the 89thth minute grab hold of the ball when Stergios Veggos from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Mikrá Sánta's Dionysis Naskos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pipis Karaindros in the 90th minute of play. Stergios Veggos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With 96 minutes on the clock, Christoforos Grigoratos commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 95 minutes into the game, one of Mikrá Sánta:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 99th minute there was a penalty for Santorini. Apostolis Darlas stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Dionysis Naskos. 2-0. The Santorini players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
