Spectators: 7611 (Terracing: 5749, Seating: 1762, VIP seats: 100) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Evripidis Balafas kicked off to start the match. 7 minutes into the match, Evripidis Balafas notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Santorini's Sotos Katevatis. Sotos Katevatis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind INTER's goalkeeper Errikos Natsis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Fondas Platakidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Errikos Natsis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fondas Platakidis in the 16th minute of play. After having played for 21 minutes, Fondas Platakidis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santorini's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fondas Platakidis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 25th match minute, Santorini was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pipis Karaindros to maneuver through the defense. Sotos Katevatis was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Lakis Kyzeridis. Sotos Katevatis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evripidis Balafas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sotos Katevatis was a little too slow when Evripidis Balafas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in INTER's zone, Fondas Platakidis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Errikos Natsis came out of the goal and Fondas Platakidis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. INTER's Errikos Natsis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fondas Platakidis in the 39th minute of play. 41 minutes into the game, Santorini's Panagiotis Stravocheris nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Errikos Natsis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Sotos Katevatis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evripidis Balafas in the 45th minute of play. The supporters of Santorini booed when INTER was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 49 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iraklis Dabizas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 50th match minute, INTER was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Makis Karmiris to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fondas Platakidis made a kick off. After having played for 55 minutes, Fondas Platakidis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santorini's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fondas Platakidis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fondas Platakidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Errikos Natsis having to interfere. Panagiotis Stravocheris could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Errikos Natsis made a huge save. Sotos Katevatis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evripidis Balafas, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Nikos Stilianopoulos hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Evripidis Balafas struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Sotos Katevatis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for INTER. Evripidis Balafas's late challenge caught a Santorini's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evripidis Balafas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 80th match minute, INTER was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evripidis Balafas to maneuver through the defense. Errikos Natsis made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Panagiotis Stravocheris sent off a good shot on target. Evripidis Balafas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Prodromos Basinas struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Sotos Katevatis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for INTER. The supporters of INTER booed when Santorini was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diogenis Toursounidis didn't get a good kick on the ball. INTER's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lakis Kyzeridis in the 98th minute. INTER's Lakis Kyzeridis was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sotos Katevatis in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The INTER fans cheered their team off the field, for while Santorini had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
