In the 5th minute, Π.Α.Ο.Κ Δωδεκανησιακό F.C's Veniamin Viglas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kostas Dilberis. Kostas Dilberis yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Giannis Topouzoglou kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Babbis Varemenos, 14 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. With his leg Kostas Dilberis managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when Π.Α.Ο.Κ Δωδεκανησιακό F.C's Zisis Ritsos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Kostas Varelas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giannis Gitsis, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. An unexpected shot in the 24th minute by Veniamin Viglas got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After some careless play in the Panathinaikos defense, Zisis Ritsos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kostas Dilberis. The Panathinaikos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kostas Dilberis should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Panathinaikos getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Andreas Koronakis hit a great ball. Kostas Dilberis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Veniamin Viglas, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Π.Α.Ο.Κ Δωδεκανησιακό F.C's Zisis Ritsos got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Veniamin Viglas struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Kostas Dilberis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Π.Α.Ο.Κ Δωδεκανησιακό F.C. Kostas Varelas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Takis Plitsis in the 46th minute of the match. A collision led to Panathinaikos getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Giannis Topouzoglou hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Veniamin Viglas made a kick off. Zisis Ritsos might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kostas Dilberis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zisis Ritsos ran back to his position shaking his head. 59 minutes into the match, Panathinaikos's goal looked a bit too open when Zisis Ritsos came free, but Kostas Dilberis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Π.Α.Ο.Κ Δωδεκανησιακό F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Takis Plitsis came free, but Kostas Varelas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kostas Varelas came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Panathinaikos's Takis Plitsis. But to his dismay, Takis Plitsis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Veniamin Viglas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kostas Dilberis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zisis Ritsos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zisis Ritsos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Kostas Dilberis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 79 minutes, Zisis Ritsos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Π.Α.Ο.Κ Δωδεκανησιακό F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zisis Ritsos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Giannis Gitsis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zisis Ritsos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zisis Ritsos in the 97th minute of play forced Panathinaikos's goalkeeper Kostas Dilberis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kostas Dilberis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zisis Ritsos, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. Π.Α.Ο.Κ Δωδεκανησιακό F.C were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Panathinaikos for a fine match.
