Anastasios Zimaras started the match with the kick off. Kostas Varelas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anastasios Zimaras's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. Veniamin Viglas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Charalambos Giannakoulis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zisis Ritsos in the 7th minute of play forced AKONTION's goalkeeper Charalambos Giannakoulis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kostas Varelas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dionysis Alexandris in the 12th minute. Zisis Ritsos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Charalambos Giannakoulis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Charalambos Giannakoulis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Veniamin Viglas went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Π.Α.Ο.Κ Δωδεκανησιακό F.C's Akis Argyrakos got a free kick in the 19th minute. 22 minutes into the game, Nestoras Lagonikakis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AKONTION's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Π.Α.Ο.Κ Δωδεκανησιακό F.C the free kick. After a rather tough play, AKONTION's Nestoras Lagonikakis got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Ermis Banasas lost his temper 25 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in AKONTION fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 24th minute. Penalty! Veniamin Viglas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to AKONTION getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Apostolis Pagonis hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Babbis Varemenos in the 42nd minute of play forced AKONTION's goalkeeper Charalambos Giannakoulis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After some careless play in the Π.Α.Ο.Κ Δωδεκανησιακό F.C defense, Dionysis Alexandris kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kostas Varelas. The Π.Α.Ο.Κ Δωδεκανησιακό F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kostas Varelas should have stopped the shot. 66 minutes into the match, Π.Α.Ο.Κ Δωδεκανησιακό F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Dionysis Alexandris came free, but Kostas Varelas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Veniamin Viglas in the 68th minute of play forced AKONTION's goalkeeper Charalambos Giannakoulis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dionysis Alexandris recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anastasios Zimaras in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kostas Varelas saved Π.Α.Ο.Κ Δωδεκανησιακό F.C from getting behind. Dionysis Alexandris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Kostas Varelas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anastasios Zimaras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kostas Varelas having to interfere. In the 83rd minute Nestoras Lagonikakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kostas Varelas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Charalambos Giannakoulis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zisis Ritsos in the 91st minute. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see AKONTION lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
