After a rather tough play, Aetochorion BC's Stelios Valassoglou got a free kick in the 7th minute. A nice corner shot did that Nasos Sismanidis got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Demis Dermitzakis quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 10th minute of the match, Adamantios Kabouratos tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lakis Kaliris saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Giannis Giannopoulos took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Demis Dermitzakis. Demis Dermitzakis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Viktoras Giannakakos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Lakis Kaliris made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Adamantios Kabouratos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lakis Kaliris was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. In the 20th minute, Fokas Katsikis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute, Chatziantoniou Sentouikidis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Demis Dermitzakis was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Giannis Giannopoulos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Demis Dermitzakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aetochorion BC's Demis Dermitzakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chatziantoniou Sentouikidis in the 36th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Lakis Kaliris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viktoras Giannakakos, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Aetochorion BC were awarded a corner in the 56th minute after Α.Ο. ΚΕΦΑΛΛΟΝΙΑ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Babbis Valkanas took the corner. After taking down the ball on Aetochorion BC's corner Babbis Valkanas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lakis Kaliris quite easily take care of the ball. Lakis Kaliris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adamantios Kabouratos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th minute, Pavlos Giannakopoulos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Α.Ο. ΚΕΦΑΛΛΟΝΙΑ's zone, Viktoras Giannakakos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lakis Kaliris came out of the goal and Viktoras Giannakakos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Savas Kounalakis charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Savas Kounalakis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 66th match minute, Α.Ο. ΚΕΦΑΛΛΟΝΙΑ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Savas Kounalakis to maneuver through the defense. Giannis Giannopoulos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Demis Dermitzakis having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Viktoras Giannakakos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 78 minutes into the match, Aetochorion BC's goalkeeper Demis Dermitzakis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Giannis Giannopoulos. Fokas Katsikis hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Chatziantoniou Sentouikidis struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Demis Dermitzakis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Α.Ο. ΚΕΦΑΛΛΟΝΙΑ. 87 minutes into the game, Giannis Giannopoulos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Demis Dermitzakis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Giannis Giannopoulos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Demis Dermitzakis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Α.Ο. ΚΕΦΑΛΛΟΝΙΑ's Lakis Kaliris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viktoras Giannakakos in the 98th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Α.Ο. ΚΕΦΑΛΛΟΝΙΑ eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
