In the 5th match minute, Sarisa F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Notis Koufakis to maneuver through the defense. In the 6th minute, Kostas Skiadopoulos sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sarisa F.C.'s Babbis Lissaridis didn't even have to move. In the 10th match minute, Alkoolikoi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kostas Skiadopoulos to maneuver through the defense. Stelios Panopoulos struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Alexandros Kakadelis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sarisa F.C.. Dimitris Vakaloglou might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alexandros Kakadelis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dimitris Vakaloglou ran back to his position shaking his head. With his leg Alexandros Kakadelis managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Sarisa F.C.'s Dimitris Vakaloglou fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Manolis Katralikakis in the 27thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Alexandros Kakadelis, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 29th minute Gerasimos Patsoureas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Babbis Lissaridis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Babbis Lissaridis came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Alkoolikoi FC's Gerasimos Patsoureas. But to his dismay, Gerasimos Patsoureas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manolis Katralikakis in the 35th minute of play forced Alkoolikoi FC's goalkeeper Alexandros Kakadelis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dimitris Vakaloglou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 42 minutes into the game, Dimitris Vakaloglou was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sarisa F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alkoolikoi FC the free kick. In the 42nd match minute, Sarisa F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dimitris Vakaloglou to maneuver through the defense. Dimitris Vakaloglou recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Dimitris Vakaloglou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Alkoolikoi FC's zone, Dimitris Vakaloglou stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexandros Kakadelis came out of the goal and Dimitris Vakaloglou tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Sarisa F.C. booed when Alkoolikoi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Periklis Gemisis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manolis Katralikakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandros Kakadelis having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manolis Katralikakis in the 94th minute of play forced Alkoolikoi FC's goalkeeper Alexandros Kakadelis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Periklis Gemisis got free with Babbis Lissaridis in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. There was no doubt that Sarisa F.C. were the better team. Sarisa F.C.'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
