The referee ignored AKONTION's protests and gave Miltos Papakostopoulos a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to AKONTION getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Miltos Papakostopoulos hit a great ball. Chatziantoniou Sentouikidis struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Charalambos Giannakoulis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Α.Ο. ΚΕΦΑΛΛΟΝΙΑ. Giannis Giannopoulos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charalambos Giannakoulis having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nestoras Lagonikakis during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, AKONTION's Nestoras Lagonikakis got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 14thth minute of the game Anastasios Zimaras who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Α.Ο. ΚΕΦΑΛΛΟΝΙΑ's Lakis Kaliris was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 16 minutes into the game, when Soulis Ntougeroglou put in a rough tackle. 15 minutes into the game, one of Α.Ο. ΚΕΦΑΛΛΟΝΙΑ:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Lakis Kaliris, was totally fooled by AKONTION's Miltos Papakostopoulos, who 18 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Nikolas Moras's late challenge caught a Α.Ο. ΚΕΦΑΛΛΟΝΙΑ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nikolas Moras helped the player get up and apologised. Α.Ο. ΚΕΦΑΛΛΟΝΙΑ's defense didn't have a chance, in the 22nd minute, when Anastasios Zimaras scored to the left of an out of position Lakis Kaliris, making the score, 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anastasios Zimaras in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lakis Kaliris prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 35th minute of the match, Anastasios Zimaras tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lakis Kaliris saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anastasios Zimaras to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Giannis Giannopoulos got free with Charalambos Giannakoulis in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nestoras Lagonikakis kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 55th minute Nestoras Lagonikakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lakis Kaliris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Apostolis Pagonis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. But to his dismay, Anastasios Zimaras quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 92nd minute, Giannis Giannopoulos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Charalambos Giannakoulis was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1.
