Elatokhσri's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mpizelokastritsa FC the free kick. Mpizelokastritsa FC's Iason Sferopoulos got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 7th minute, Antonis Karakonstantinou got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Elatokhσri's Thomas Petsanas in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mpizelokastritsa FC's goalie prevented a goal. Antonis Karakonstantinou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Takis Asimis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes into the game, Antonis Karakonstantinou cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Takis Asimis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dimitris Karaflas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antonis Karakonstantinou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Takis Asimis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Thomas Petsanas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Dimitris Katsiabis fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mpizelokastritsa FC's protests and gave Dimitris Katsiabis a yellow card for diving instead. In the 38th match minute, Mpizelokastritsa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dimitris Katsiabis to maneuver through the defense. Dimitris Karaflas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sokratis Katsabas during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 42nd match minute, Mpizelokastritsa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sokratis Katsabas to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Thomas Petsanas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Elatokhσri's supporters rose to their feet, but Thomas Petsanas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Takis Asimis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iason Sferopoulos to make the kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Stefanos Veggos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Elatokhσri's Daniil Bakalopoulos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Iason Sferopoulos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Daniil Bakalopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Mpizelokastritsa FC's Takis Asimis got control of the ball when Antonis Karakonstantinou tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Mpizelokastritsa FC's zone, Antonis Karakonstantinou stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Takis Asimis came out of the goal and Antonis Karakonstantinou tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mpizelokastritsa FC's Takis Asimis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Mpizelokastritsa FC from getting a goal against them. Takis Asimis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Petsanas, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stefanos Veggos in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daniil Bakalopoulos saved Elatokhσri from getting behind. In the 70th minute, Iason Sferopoulos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thomas Petsanas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Takis Asimis having to interfere. Mpizelokastritsa FC's Takis Asimis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Petsanas in the 77th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Iason Sferopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mpizelokastritsa FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Iason Sferopoulos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniil Bakalopoulos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Takis Asimis was a little too slow when Thomas Petsanas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 84th minute. The score was now 1-2. Stefanos Veggos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniil Bakalopoulos having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Evaggelos Vouras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Mpizelokastritsa FC's Stefanos Veggos in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Elatokhσri's goalie prevented a goal. The Elatokhσri supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Elatokhσri would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
