Grigoris Efthimis ran back to his position shaking his head. Kerasokhσrion's Konstantinos Mantzourakis suffered a sore thigh after 12 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Stelios Chatzoudis kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Paris Tzanetakis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lambros Tzanetos was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Andreas Kastaniadis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Argyris Drakos having to interfere. Ios made a substitution. Vassilis Kozirakis replaced Stelios Chatzoudis. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paris Tzanetakis to strike the kick off in the second half. If Paris Tzanetakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 57th minute, Paris Tzanetakis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 80 played minutes Ios got a freekick which was hit by Vassilis Kozirakis. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paris Tzanetakis in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lambros Tzanetos saved Kerasokhσrion from getting behind. Lambros Tzanetos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paris Tzanetakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Paris Tzanetakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andreas Kastaniadis got free with Argyris Drakos in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
