After a defensive mix-up in Mpizelokastritsa FC's zone, Viktoras Kalogeros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Takis Asimis came out of the goal and Viktoras Kalogeros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of F.C. Sparda booed when Mpizelokastritsa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Koulis Kapernekas didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Mpizelokastritsa FC's Takis Asimis got control of the ball when Christos Rigas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Takis Asimis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christos Rigas in the 14th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in F.C. Viktoras Kalogeros might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Takis Asimis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Viktoras Kalogeros ran back to his position shaking his head. 2-1 became the score in the 45th minute when Christos Rigas elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Iason Sferopoulos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Christos Rigas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 54 minutes, Iason Sferopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mpizelokastritsa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iason Sferopoulos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sparda's Lakis Mistriotis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iason Sferopoulos in the 61st minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Iason Sferopoulos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lakis Mistriotis. F.C. Sparda's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Iason Sferopoulos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexis Anastasakis in the 69th minute of play forced Mpizelokastritsa FC's goalkeeper Takis Asimis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sparda's Lakis Mistriotis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save F.C. Sparda from getting a goal against them.
