Antonis Karakonstantinou might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Argyris Drakos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antonis Karakonstantinou ran back to his position shaking his head. Elatokhσri's Daniil Bakalopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paris Tzanetakis in the 6th minute of play. Daniil Bakalopoulos was a little too slow when Paris Tzanetakis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 2-0. 3-0 became the score in the 18th minute when Paris Tzanetakis elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 20 minutes into the game, Grigoris Efthimis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ios's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Elatokhσri the free kick. In the 22nd minute, Antonis Karakonstantinou got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 25th minute Antonis Karakonstantinou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Argyris Drakos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paris Tzanetakis got in the 27th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Daniil Bakalopoulos handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paris Tzanetakis got free with Daniil Bakalopoulos in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 36th minute, Antonis Karakonstantinou ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Argyris Drakos was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. If Paris Tzanetakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paris Tzanetakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniil Bakalopoulos having to interfere. Ios's Stefanos Savouridis was substituted for Themos Michopoulos. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Thomas Petsanas was the one to do the kick off. Paris Tzanetakis took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniil Bakalopoulos. Daniil Bakalopoulos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Paris Tzanetakis scored 5-1 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Daniil Bakalopoulos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thomas Petsanas charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thomas Petsanas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thomas Petsanas kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Daniil Bakalopoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paris Tzanetakis in the 69th minute of the match. The Ios fans' excitement grew in the 75th match minute when Ios's Paris Tzanetakis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paris Tzanetakis in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniil Bakalopoulos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Thomas Petsanas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Argyris Drakos having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ios fans cheered their team off the field, for while Elatokhσri had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
