After 8 played minutes Xoϊdha got a freekick which was hit by Antonis Velas. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by Xoϊdha's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ahmet Nedim Aksoy was slow to take the kick. During this time Sayιοka's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Eleftherios Labetis heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Nikos Stergallas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vaggelis Lepouras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 21 minutes into the match, Xoϊdha's goal looked a bit too open when Panagiotis Pindonis came free, but Thymios Bozidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eutichios Kanakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nikos Stergallas in the 24th minute of the match. Vaggelis Lepouras recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vaggelis Lepouras might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thymios Bozidis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vaggelis Lepouras ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 28th minute, Vaggelis Lepouras made a precise shot to the right of Thymios Bozidis. Xoϊdha's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Eutichios Sfakianakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thymios Bozidis having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Miltiadis Spyridakis notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Xoϊdha's Thymios Bozidis. Thymios Bozidis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Charis Tavlaridis hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Xoϊdha's zone, Panagiotis Pindonis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thymios Bozidis came out of the goal and Panagiotis Pindonis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 43rd minute Eutichios Sfakianakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thymios Bozidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Michalis Kosmakis took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Eutichios Kanakis to make any attempt to save it. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Nikos Stergallas made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Eutichios Sfakianakis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sayιοka's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eutichios Sfakianakis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 58th minute Eutichios Sfakianakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thymios Bozidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thymios Bozidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eutichios Sfakianakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eutichios Sfakianakis in the 66th minute of play forced Xoϊdha's goalkeeper Thymios Bozidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eutichios Sfakianakis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vaggelis Lepouras who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Thymios Bozidis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 74 minutes into the match, Sayιοka's goal looked a bit too open when Petros Vogiatzis came free, but Eutichios Kanakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute, Panagiotis Pindonis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 79 minutes, Panagiotis Pindonis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panagiotis Pindonis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sayιοka played a much better game than Xoϊdha and deserved their victory. The Xoϊdha players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
