The supporters of Kakaria BC booed when Larisa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chatziantoniou Volonakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kakaria BC's Nontas Adamos got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Babbis Balatsouras in the 21st minute of play forced Kakaria BC's goalkeeper Tolis Pantelidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Babbis Balatsouras managed to get in a good position for a shot. Larisa FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Babbis Balatsouras was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tolis Pantelidis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Lakis Katsaros came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Larisa FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lakis Katsaros couldn't finish the play. Kakaria BC's Tolis Pantelidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lakis Katsaros in the 31st minute of play. If Nontas Adamos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alketas Bountouris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miltiadis Perdikas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Larisa FC's goalkeeper Alketas Bountouris, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nontas Adamos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Alketas Bountouris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nontas Adamos in the 53rd minute of play. Ntinos Meletoglou kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, Kakaria BC's goal looked a bit too open when Lakis Katsaros came free, but Tolis Pantelidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Nontas Adamos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kakaria BC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nontas Adamos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alketas Bountouris breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Miltiadis Perdikas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alketas Bountouris read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Lakis Katsaros took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Tolis Pantelidis to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lakis Katsaros in the 83rd minute of play forced Kakaria BC's goalkeeper Tolis Pantelidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 84 minutes, Argyris Karpenisis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kakaria BC and the Larisa FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 84 played minutes Kakaria BC got a freekick which was hit by Argyris Karpenisis.
