The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vladimiros Karaiskos struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Pantelis Kazanakis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yellow Blackers. In the 16th minute Vladimiros Karaiskos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pantelis Kazanakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Zinon Valassiou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zinon Valassiou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Petros Giannakopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zisis Malliaros kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. The corner led A.E. MΠΑΜΠΙΝΗΣ's Zisis Kounoupis to fire away a dangerous shot which Petros Giannakopoulos despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 27th minute, Grigoris Skapaneas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Grigoris Skapaneas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A.E. MΠΑΜΠΙΝΗΣ's Zinon Valassiou got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Grigoris Skapaneas took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Petros Giannakopoulos. Petros Giannakopoulos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Vladimiros Karaiskos made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, A.E. MΠΑΜΠΙΝΗΣ's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Stefanos Mantzios fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Grigoris Skapaneas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Petros Giannakopoulos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Zinon Valassiou got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Grigoris Skapaneas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zinon Valassiou in the 69th minute of play forced Yellow Blackers's goalkeeper Petros Giannakopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grigoris Skapaneas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zinon Valassiou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petros Giannakopoulos having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Grigoris Skapaneas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Manos Samaras's late challenge caught a A.E. MΠΑΜΠΙΝΗΣ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manos Samaras helped the player get up and apologised. In the 82nd minute, Manos Samaras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Zinon Valassiou put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Petros Giannakopoulos. The supporters of Yellow Blackers booed when A.E. MΠΑΜΠΙΝΗΣ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Markos Remoundos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vladimiros Karaiskos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pantelis Kazanakis having to interfere. A.E. MΠΑΜΠΙΝΗΣ walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
