Leonidas Rokkas came out of the goal and Nikos Tachtsidis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The FC Barcelona fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when FC Barcelona's Eleftherios Karntasis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Leonidas Rokkas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikos Tachtsidis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kassαnoi BC's Konstantinos Christakos got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Eleftherios Karntasis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 43 played minutes Kassαnoi BC got a freekick which was hit by Fragiskos Apostolopoulos. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonidas Rokkas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marios Giannaros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Konstantinos Christakos, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eleftherios Karntasis in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonidas Rokkas saved Kassαnoi BC from getting behind. In the 77th match minute, Kassαnoi BC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Theodosis Sourounis to maneuver through the defense.
